Good book for the newbie trader

A Classic For Amateurs
This book is a quick read offering investors a simple understanding of value investing. Using simplified (read: extremely simplified) explanations of the market, Greenblatt teaches an important lesson to the beginner lacking the most basic understanding of the market. He personifies the market (Mr. Read more...
The author promises that you will be able to beat the market in the long run using his special investment formula. Curious? There isn't anything else to learn from the book other than the "special" formula.
