A lot of the ideas on the book are from before the internet era, thus they are outdated. For this reason I wouldn't recommend it as a primer because you need to know how to distinguish the hay from the gold. I have to take my hat off to AMEX as they came out of the crisis whole without any help. I like their model of being more like a debit card and anyone who pays the interest charges doesn't understand finance yet.
