Decent for stocks, good for options
I trade mostly options, and Yahoo Finance is pretty solid as far as posting the biggest movers, unusual volume, highs, lows, etc. on option contracts. As far as stocks, their site is probably average at best. They have a stock screener, but why not just use a better free screener in Finviz. I've Read more...

Yahoo finance is great for the casual investor as it has news and fundamentals for every ticker

Great Tool Necessary to All Investors
Yahoo Finance is a necessary site for anyone who plans to do any investing. The site just works, it has good tools, accurate information and news, and versatile charts. The only issue is it has the standard 20 minute delay for stock quotes during market hours, but other than that it is great.

Yahoo!.com's financial section has a wealth of information
