I wanted to find out what prop trading was all about and also to learn some day trading techniques near the end of 2008 since the overall market was headed only in one direction (down) and volatility was high, so long term trading was basically on hold.
2 years later, looking at my records of how much I spent for training, commissions, platform fees, and how much I learned, I wish I had never heard of them. Bob Bright is a smart guy and successful trader and businessman, but as others have mentioned in reviews, they are looking out for their own interests. Thats not a bad thing since that is the purpose you start a business. But they definitely do not prepare an inexperienced trader for what lies ahead.
Yes, you will learn a few techniques that may work for some people, but they encourage you to increase share size per trade almost immediately.
I was a bit naive when I joined, and I did end up getting an education. They do have some traders who are successful, but I doubt they learned their techniques from Bright.
Commissions are not cheap either, but you can negotiate depending on volume.
