Bargaineering is one of the longest running personal finance blogs with honest commentary, great information, humor, deals, and more. A must read for anyone who enjoys personal finance blogs.
Mostly inaccurate and sensationalized
I did not enjoy how the author fawned over the subject and was clearly biased by the protagonist's success. More importantly, there's no real detail about how these people were able to take advantage of Japanese markets and much of the information has been sensationalized.
"I have mixed feelings about this book but the overwhelming one is disappointment. Underneath, there is a tremendous story that begs, and needs, to be told, but unfortunately Mr Mezrich, for whatever reason So the book in essence is a work of fiction based on factual data and thus in no way at all h Read more...
Learned more than i thought I would, Very entertaining and interesting book.
It was an ok read. The characters were sleazy and unrelatable, the dialogue was a dry and boring and the crimes were immoral yet lackluster. If you enjoy reading books about the victory of greed over reason and heart, this is your go to book.

A Good Read but no educational value
As usual, Ben wrote a great story about a person extraordinary adventure like the Rigged, This book is full of greed like the Tokyo undeground bar.. It is a good read but no educational value in it.
This book tells a great story about the power of greed in the financial markets and how people can grab the bull by the horns for massive profits. The Asian market where ripe for the picking and this man feasted. A good read.
Ugly Americans is a story of extremes, charged with wealth, nerve, excess, and glamor. (WHOOP WHOOP) , and exotic characters, Ugly Americans is the untold true story that ro Read more...
