TDAmeritrade is an all-in-one investment broker that provides users with tons of features, tools, and educational materials. The 3 trading platforms (standard, TradeArchitect, & thinkorswim) are intuitive and easy to use, but quotes are slightly delayed and trade execution is can be slow. The Read more...
Because TD is so big, I seem to always get very good fills from this company. I trade stocks and options, and always put my limit order in between the bid & ask, and I always get good fills. I like TD, no complaints.
"It seems that TDA is far better than all current UK online brokers, but it seems difficult to become a UK client. Does anyone know if its possible to have an account by proxy, or whatever? I use TD Waterhouse & Selftrade; previously used Barclays & Comdirect also. TDW seem best all-round if Read more...
"I think TDAmeritrade has the best trading platform that you can customize but their execution is very slow. Their server was down all the time and lagging. "PROS: TD Ameritrade / ThinkOrSwim has one of the best customer service and ""whole customer experience"" of all brokerages, period. The website is beautifully laid out, smart, intuitive, informative, and does everything you could need and more. I have an account with them and keep $0 in it, just to Read more...

I've used TDA for 7 years and their service gets progressively worse with every issue. They have a decent platform & execution, but if you have a problem, they are barely better than Interactive Broker. TDA just bought out thinkorswim so I'm a little concerned about their future as well. When Read more...
was trying to get some shares of ggwpq.pk today; had a limit order at 11.25 >:( td thought it would be OK to give me 11.30 if you're a day trader you know how big of a difference that can be.
TO has the best tools for trading. The charts could be better and commission lower but with the good fill prices they have to make money. The CS tries hard. Overall VG
For the occasional investor or heavy volume trader, TD Ameritrade is hard to beat. Great support, research, and platform(thinkorswim). However, if you are a small volume heavy trader, the commissions would probably eat you alive.
