John is a well read guy who knows how to write down his opinion. I have found his newsletter entertaining read with lots of data underlying the opinion. Mauldin is a great source for penetrating insight you won't get anywhere else on the big picture stuff going on in the world. He travels widely, thinks deeply, and writes well about the major issues that affect money and investments. His weekly e-letter is free but would be well worth paying for.
