even though the website layout is a little weird and im not getting used to it, its probably gona be my main broker because they allow stop orders on stocks listed on pinksheets and otc. many other br Read more...
Decent platform for most traders.
"Given the lack of options for me, E*TRADE was the first firm I went with. To date, I think the functions are sufficient for people like me (and most traders). Started off with the web-based platform and later on went with the PRO version, and really liked the PRO. A decent broker to go with if yo Read more...
Power ETrade Pro is great, but not for automated trading
"I've had an account with ETrade for the past 6 months, strictly for using Power ET Pro, specifically Level 2s & time/sales. I have not used them to any trades so I can't speak to that. Their market scanners are good but not as versatile as Interactive Broker's. Level II quote feeds are good fo Read more...
Happy for now
I Have been using ETrad for one year and I have had no problems with them .I call costumer service they are speedy & helpful. Lots of great tools to us. Getting a trade to execute sometimes is slow but that can work in your favor. If your not day trading It\\'s a good starting place. When you si Read more...
not my cup of tea
Admittedly, I first opened an E-Trade account as an investor who was interested in global equities. I was also enamored with E-Trade's many research features. Perfect for what I needed
Great level 2, small margin requirements, easy to find shorts, decent fills pre-market, easy to use, good customer service, overall a good experience if you need a place to go under $100k in your account.
Goog, but too expensive
Two years ago I have started trading with ETrade, Everything was great, but for me it's too expensive... Besides sometimes I didn't understand why I have to pay fees...
We've parted ways.
I was a former client who spent low 5 figures a year in commissions. Took some time off and when I came back I had an execution problem (no fault of my own) and they were not willing to do anything to remedy the situation. Their tools are decent and got the job done, but I can't work with someone w Read more...
I just got started with ETrade (and trading in general) a few months ago! So far, ETrade has been great! Great customer service and helpful tools.
Mainstream traders and even investors can use ETrade if they can afford the higher flat fee for buying and selling. Their short list for stocks $3-$10 if pretty decent if you're into that sort of thing.
Better Than Others
Etrade is a solid broker, but I wouldn't use them if you are an active trader as their commission rates are too high for active trading. A good broker for swing trading. They have a solid platform. I like that you can have both a brokerage and checking account with them and can transfer money betwee Read more...
