I became an HSBC customer in 1997 and have remained with them ever since. Their fees are reasonable (compared to their competition) and they fake customer loyalty well (which is all one can ask for...a bank that cares just doesn't exist!). "I have an online account with them and best thing about them is their interest rate. Very competitive. They website is simple, but clean. Money transfers are good and they give you a ATM card to use."

Great bank if you are lucky enough to be offered their premier service. You get your own relationship manager and discounted rates. Can't recommend highly enough.
I feel like they dont really care about the general public with little saving accounts. I did also hear talks of them turning HSBC into a private bank soon which a large minimum will be required in their a customer's account which cut down the number of people they have to satisfy.
I opened an online savings account with them a few years back when they were paying 2+% more than local banks in interest. Since that time the difference has diminished, but they still pay a higher rate. They give you an ATM card to access the account and offer free transfers to other banks.
