This subscription is good for long term investors. It's a newsletter operated by Louis Basenese who has been featured on CNBC, WSJ, MarketWatch, TheStreet, and other well known media outlets. It's affordable at $99/year as of 2/2014. They provide you with a newsletter about once a month and also send you a couple email updates throughout the month. The only annoying thing is that they also send you a lot of email marketing stuff about other products they sell.
The Constitutional Wealth is another publication they sell for an annual subscription of $99/year. It's more focused on policy trends and how companies can benefit from them. They also have more premium trading services like:
MaxROI ($5000/yr)
The Dividends Accelerator ($1495/yr discounted)
Microcap Tech Trader ($4500/yr)
Instant Money Trader ($3000/yr)
Oil & Energy Confidential ($2250/yr)
The Presidents Club - private club, not seeking active memberships now.
Smart Cap Alert ($5000/yr)
Regarding the performance of the WSDInsider, it has been good. Their portfolio is composed of 3 parts: The general WSD trading portfolio, tech disruptors, and innovators. The last 2 are a little more riskier plays while the general portfolio is more conservative and balanced. The performance of the portfolio as of 2/2014 is as such:
WSD portfolio 15 stocks = 11 winners and 4 underwater. Most winners are about 8-20% in profit Those underwater are down about 10-20%. There is also one certificate of deposit (CD) by Everbank.
Disruptors portfolio (high risk plays where they risk only $1000 on each play) 4 stocks = 1 stock flat and 3 stocks underwater >20%. This portfolio seems to be struggling.
Innovators portfolio ( moderate risk play with smaller caps) 7 stocks = 7 winners and 0 stocks underwater. There are impressive returns in this portfolio. The majority of stocks are >10% in profit with 3 stocks > 50% in returns.
If you see a lot of their marketing on the Internet touting big monthly returns. They mainly are trying to push the latest techniques to sell puts or use dividend stocks in the long run to generate monthly income. If you like generating income via options, I would also recommend the Income Trader at Profitabletrading.com by Amber Hestla. She has a very impressive record.
Overall, the WSDInsider is a good service for long term investors and I would recommend them to others. They just need to improve the disruptors portfolio and lighten up on the aggressive marketing. 4 to 4.5 stars.
