A couple of my views about stock adviser like MMR.
1)In a bull market, random picks won't perform worse than those so called experts picks, including MMR;
2)MMR often advertise 'investment report' and lure people in by exaggerate their xxx% winners stocks but never reveal those losers;
3)It works like a semi-scam or gambler that gives you recommendation for a stock, 50% it goes up, the customers pass the trial period and pay the service fee; 50% it fails but that's fine to them, the customers just cancel or are given better performing stock which will try them again. It is specially true to Capital Wave Forecast. My friend tried their service but lost on five stocks in a row. Unlucky to him as he was one of those 50% losers.
4)Refund is like some of those companies. When it comes to request for refund it can turn ugly. They say no question ask but it's BS. First they will ask why you cancel, then they will try to keep you by giving you other stocks.
5)They even do not invest in what they believe. Mistake can be found in their portfolio. e.g. they keep those expired options in the portfolio to hold. If they do invest money in what they recommend, how come they don't know what they buy is expired. You buy an option, when it expired, you don't know about it but still keep it for a couple of weeks?
6)Contradiction between advisers often seen. Some one say not to buy Apple, some one does recommend Apple; some one suggests to long the interest rate but then some one asks to buy the one short the rate.
In short, better do your own homework. Think twice if you want to spend thousands for stock adviser like MMR. Good luck if you do and get ahead of the game, otherwise you will fell really bad when you are in deep water and still keep paying the fee. There is no guarantee for investment. Carefully read their disclaim (something like they will not take responsibility for your investment loss) before you try.
