Big Brother, Big Business

Award-winning correspondent, David Faber examines the rapid advance of technology which allows companies to monitor our every move and record our most private personal information. Driving habits are being recorded; employees are monitored; shoppers and diners are observed and analyzed; internet searches are saved and used as evidence in court.

It is big business that collects most of the data about us. But increasingly, it is the government that’s using it.

We Should All Know This Already
Scary Insight to how things are done behind the scenes and undercover. Can you say invasion of privacy..? Everyone should take notes on this. Where will it stop..? Whats next.?

Is there anything we can do to change this course of action or is Big Brother, Big Business unstoppable at this point..? Makes you wonder.

A very revealing documentary
There are some more disturbing films out there about Big Brother but this is a good film that shows people that aren't as "free" as they think. Next time you think about all the BS you hear about being free, remember some of the things you learned from this film. It will change you perspective on a few things.

unsettling
Interesting and a little unsettling at the same time. to see the companies behind the powerful business of personal information and how they can affect your life. There was a case of a woman who lost her job due to mistaken identity which I thought was kind of surprising. The documentary also looks some of the technologies used by police and enforcement to establish identities.

Powerful business of personal information
Amazing to take a look at the companies behind the powerful business of personal information and the people whose lives are affected by it, including: a woman who lost her job due to mistaken identity; a man whose cell phone records were stolen by his former employer; a woman whose personal information was stolen from a company she had never heard of; a man who discovered his rental car company was tracking his every move.

The documentary also looks at how the FBI, the Border Patrol, police departments and schools are using biometric technologies to establish identity as well as an inside peek at an AOL division that works solely to satisfy the requests of law enforcement for information about AOL’s members!

Quite scary actually.

Interesting Watch
I watched the whole thing on you tube in one sitting, it was interesting to see the types of technologies that are available however at the speed of innovation in this world this documentary is now useless because there are bigger and better versions to watch you.
