Great for Shorts, Not so Great for Trading Tools

SogoTrade or Genesis, whatever the case may be they have a great list of shorts from time to time that other brokers cannot easily locate. The downfall to this brokerage is that there user platforms and tools are rather amateur and can be frustrating at times.

If you're looking for a brokerage with good customer service and great rates and don't care too much about charts and the technology side of trading, then I would recommend Genesis Securities, especially if you're looking to short most of the time.

I like it

When I first set up my account, the team leader knew of the area I live and described the surrounding locations. Talk about very friendly! I love the service, although I have in the past tried to cancel an order only to find out that it got filled. No big deal, the trade worked out so no harm done. I have had very good experiences with Genesis other than that one ordeal. I can't say enough about them, and I highly recomend using them!

Great discount brokerage

Genesis is my primary broker and a good one at that. Their tools are terrible and with that you need to look else where to excel in this market with the best tools. They compliment my strategy just fine, but will not be my primary broker in the future.

Hidden Gem

Genesis - Broker

Use these guys indirectly thru Sogotrade. Often have alot of shares shortable here that are maybe not available elsewhere. Have to keep up with their hard to borrow list tho.
