Poor Imitation of Wall St Wizards
I bought this book years ago and after studying Tim Sykes and a few other gurus with demonstrable track records, I went back to see if there were any recognizable names from this book and perhaps to compare their strategies to what I'd learned thus far.

Not a one was familiar to me; in fact, of the twelve people profiled in the book, I could only find maybe three who are still in the trading world, but even then their track records were not verifiable. The rest I either could not locate at all or did not find anything more recent about their trading activities since this book was published in 2007. One so-called trader is actually doing hard time for a 90 million dollar Ponzi scheme - he never even traded but pretended to be one as a front for fleecing people!

I was really disappointed that Kathy Lien was involved in such a shoddy piece of work - it could not have been that difficult to find a dozen or so real, actual traders for a re-vamp of an old classic, could it?

There are much better sources for tips and techniques - avoid this book.

Another 'Market Wizards' wannabe...
Not even Jack Schwager can make another Wizards book that is up to the standards of his first two ones. Stock Market Wizards was Jack's last attempt and it failed. This book doesn't even come close. The two authors write for DailyFX and they stick stick to analysis and blogging, neither of them have written very good books.

12 randomly select traders are loosely profiled and each tells their story and tries to offer insights. Some are better than others. None of the traders profiled have verified track records, so it's hard to take their advice seriously.

One to avoid.
