this book combines the insights of livermore with the chaos in his personal life. i'm not sure that you can combine the bare genius with a lifetime of living without the chaos. he read prices of sector/stocks like some people read music. it appeared to me that he lived alone in his head but always wanted family/friends around him. and many family/friends disappointed him.
i was struck with several new ideas while reading the book and was left with wanting to read more about him, read what he wrote, read why he committed suicide.
of course, this dedication took a lot of energy and perhaps he ran out of the energy necessary to make a living for himself and his family. worse, his personal life turned out badly in many ways, and this great sadness multiplied over time.
this book is a buy, as an introduction. perhaps you will be inspired by the ideas in the book and want to read more, as i did.
