The formula is simple. Do the WORK!!! DTA is about trusting the system, doing the homework, and communication. If you don't trust the system, you won't do the homework. If you don't do the homework, you can't communicate questions and get answers. If you don't communicate and ask questions, you won't learn. If you don't learn, you don't succeed. Anyone who says this system doesn't work, didn't do the WORK. It's obvious.
The quote that reoccurs a lot in these reviews is the "we only have one spot left" sales tactic. Yes, they are in the business of making money. But, think of it this way, if there were plenty of spots left, would you get off your ass and sign up? Or would you sit there and hymn and ha, wondering if you were ready to make a life change? It's a tactic that is used to see just how serious you are. Why would these great teachers waste their time on students who were not dedicated, when there are students that are starving for this information and want to change their lives forever and are willing to take the leap? Think about it.
I saw another review that DTA didn't teach the psychology aspect. That's laughable. Once again, did you communicate that you were hitting a brick wall psychologically? I'm mean really, how bad do these people want it?
One more, "its expensive". Any simple google search on Day Trading Schools and you'll realize that anything less than $10k is a freaking bargain.
So, here's my personal experience:
I wanted to make a change in my life, but didn't know how. I hated my job and my schedule. I didn't even know what day trading was. Then I watched "International House Hunters" at about 1am and Marcello was on finding a place in Columbia. He gave a bit of his back story about traveling the world and being able to do it because of day trading. I have always wanted to travel the world, so my ears perked. I want what this guys got. This began my journey 8 months ago. I did all the research I could on Marcello and day trading. I contacted several day trading schools and got quotes. The Day Trading Academy was a bargain. I figured I had nothing to lose at this point in my life, I was miserable. Lindsay told me, "we only have one spot left". Haha. I knew the tactic, I was in sales for few years as a youngster. I didn't care. I knew what I wanted and they could have told me they had 100 openings. I want what this guys got. Whatever it takes.
*As a side note, given the amount of support and attention that I have received from DTA the past 8 months, it would not surprise me a bit if there were a limited amount of spots. You just can't give this type of personal service if you are over extended.
The WORK began. I hit walls. Chapter 7 took me forever to get through and understand (makes me laugh now, but then, it just didn't click). Remember, this was my first experience of anything to do with day trading or even the stock market. It was all Greek to me. Jonathan was there the whole way, no matter how many times I asked the same question. He was encouraging and patient (He's my mentor, Yo!). Then came Sim trading and the classes. I wanted to strangle Zeke on many occasions. "It could do this, it could do that". Ya, no kidding, but how do I know?! But, Zeke also was patient, firm, and encouraging (He's my mentor Yo!). I thought I was just going to say, F-it all during Sim trading. There was a week when every trade I made went the opposite way. I contacted Lindsay and was like, "I quit! I suck at this! I can't believe I wasted my time on this. I'm just no good at it. You guys taught well, I just don't get it (see, I was accountable)". She talked me through, reminded me of my goals and dreams, gave me some techniques, believed in me, and gave me a psychological pep talk (She's my mentor, Yo!). See the trend here?
As I prepare to go LIVE on Monday, I am confident that I will do great. The nerves are there, but I know, no matter what, my mentors are there for me because I've done the WORK. They're not going to allow me to fail. If I fail, it's because I didn't ask for help. I want what this guys got. Do you?
P.S. Every email that I have sent to Marcello he has responded to. As a mater of fact, every email that I have sent to anyone at DTA has been responded to.
P.S.S. Oh, and the B.S. about giving a positive review on here gives you a free month of DTA. If this malarkey is true (which its obviously not), then donate it to a someone that's as hungry as I am and just starting out. I'll make that much on my first trade on Monday because I'm doing the WORK!!!
