New to trading, extremely helpful and made $$$$$

Hi,

Several months ago I joined Schaeffers and paid for a Lifetime Elite Trader subscription with a free Ipad2, so far I have made over 14k trading and my Senior Consultant is very helpful, so far so good, very helpful and timely in the information!

Good return on investment..

I signed up with SIR a couple of months ago to their weekend subscription service...I have some interesting info I would love to share...I have been regularly trading options through SIR and I have so far not only recovered their subscriptin fee but also profited from their recommendations. The profit so far has been around $1000 but that's because I was only testing the waters with small bets. I now plan to go big. BTW, at the time I started subscribing to SIR I also bought 200 shares of [email protected]$40/share , I have lost nearly $1500 on AIG so far...so I would highly recommend SIR.

Very poor customer service

Here is the text of the final email I sent regarding my experience with SchaeffersResearch.com. I believe it is self-explanatory as to my experience with this company.

I give up. Your attitude and rudeness is just too much for me. Shaeffer’s Research did not provide a $195 trial service for me which I had paid in advance by credit card and which service I did not receive. I have now tried to resolve this with you by telephone on several different occasions and all I get is rude arguments and over-speaking from you personally. Your company must be very much in trouble financially or just stupid to throw away a potential long-term customer who was sampling your services (as per your advertisements) to see what worked best for me. You have single-handedly destroyed any confidence I could have with ShaeffersResearch.com. Because I have a self-managed seven figure portfolio in which I am beginning to use options, I must be able to trust the company and its administrative staff that I am receiving advice from. Shaeffer’s Research has utterly failed me in this regard.

Please immediately cancel my account and any subscription services I have with Shaeffer’s Research and/or SchaeffersReasearch.com and/or Schaeffer Research and process the credit card refund due to me.

Dont do it

I tried the wealth builder and lost money. I wasnt going to write a bad review because I thought maybe that the option strategy just didnt work in the mkt enviroment that I tried the service. After reading all the other poor reviews I thought, Id give everyone the heads up that I lost money following their advice.

They over-promise and under-deliver

I have tried a number of services from SIR over the years. I started with the basic options newsletter. This helped me learn about trading options, but I never had any luck with the picks. More recently, I tried the Weekend Trader series for over 1 Year. The results were very bad - luckily I was just paper trading.

When I finally decided to cancel my subscription, I was informed that they only give refunds in the first 90 days of subscription. I was on Quarterly automatic renewal and it had renewed 30 days ago. Thus, I won't be getting my money back for the next 60 days of service. No pro-rated refund available. This after being with them for a Year! This is contrary to the spirit of what they promise, even if it adheres to the fine print.

In addition, the promises they make in the ad copy far exceed any actual results. I have found that SIR consistently over-promises and under-delivers. The emails I received after subscribing contained constant up-sells to better and more expensive services. I found the entire experience to be an exercise in caveat emptor.

I would suggest that people put together their own trades. After all, making your own incorrect trades is educational. There's little to be learned by blindly following picks made by others.

one line is not enough

They claim to be contrarian and some of their staff has appeared on cnbc but their subscription stock picks.... I think a 5 year old can pick better blindfolded. They have the worst picks and also THEY DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE... UNLESS YOU HAVE MONEY TO WASTE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Option Invstment recommendations

Subscribed to two option recommendation services. I followed their recommendations for two months and during that time I lost approx. $3,000.00 per week. The losing recommendations were about 9 out of 10. Don't know how they arrived at their choices but they were almost always wrong. Safe your money--avoid this service

I love their options information. Everyday the news is up at 8:30 and I get everything on one blog. Earnings, Economic Calendar, put and call activities, etc.

I tried Schaeffers and their stock picks and they are not good. most of loser picks.

The option picks works sometimes. you need to have a better understanding about technical analysis etc to make their picks work.

I like the morning Schaeffers opening View, it gives an opening market view and summarized the global market results and econ reports , and overall day outlook.

they are big spammers too and dont give them your real phone number,cuz they'll call you.

not only do you get 100 emails a week from these clowns. they tout 10000000% returns and crap. Bernie Schaeffer is the man blah blah. These guys are spammers

the free blogs are kind of cool for options traders but not much actionable stuff
