some substance bust mostly hot air
subscribed for a year.

had some reasonable trading advice but for the most part the prices that were suggested for the trade execution were COMPLETE FICTION. impossible to get the pricessuggested for trades.

then he has the gall to calculate the returns he is making based on a trade that could not have been made.

can't recommend for the high $$

The King of recycling previously written articles
I have bought his new book "Stocks to Buy for the Coming Roaring Twenties" and which only contains articles that where previously posted on his website and/or other sites like seekingalpha. No new content, context or clarity were added.

Again, he proved once again to be the king of recycling previously written articles just as he does on his facebook page on a regular basis.

Keep in mind that he was a former journalist before you order any product of service from this guy.

Deceptive Practicies
John Thomas the "trader" has several publications, but I'm sticking to just the Mad Hedge Fund Trader. I subscribed to Diary and while Thomas is clearly an experienced pro, this publication can be highly annoying and deceptive at times. He will discuss a topic and typically point out a few investments to watch for in the future. These are clearly not buy recommendations, just "keep your eye on these" reports. Six months later he'll crow about his report on the companies or investment area mentioned in the report while my reaction is "wait, you never actually recommended buying those companies". The Diary itself pretty rarely gives actionable investment advice yet wants to take credit for mentioning investments.

In addition, he recycles stories and articles on a huge scale (and never mentions that this story was published six months ago or a year ago). All in all I found MHFT to be somewhat educational, but highly annoying for the reasons mentioned. Some of his other publications appear to be geared to actual trading but are very expensive so it feels like MHFT is almost a promo for the other service(s).
