Better and better

Barchart fell of my radar and when I recently went back looking for specific info not found elsewhere, I found it at Barchart. I began wondering why I didn't visit this site more often and intend to in future. It appears that they have improved the site by offering more free services that were once for fee users only.They provide info I cannot find elsewhere and I intend to make more regular use of them,

very biased

I feel like this website is a great and resourceful tool for equity research. It's a good website but their opinions are not always right. Thus, they are opinions and no one should ever believe what this website says before doing their dd. I always use this website but do my dd along with it to reinforce my trades.

Opinion section is interesting

The opinion section is a survey of short medium and long term technical indicators. Its we composed, the selection of indicators is meaningful, they have a trend, momentum and oscillator.

The results are somewhat useful, although if you are technical trader you should probably view/interpret the results for yourself. Useful as a technical screener I guess.

One of my screeners

barchart.com has some great technical analysis features that I've been using more and more lately. If you sign up for their free services you can save your screens and modify watch lists and what shows up on the main screen. The charts have many options to play around with including many different studies to use and the charts themselves are clear and concise. The main reason I've been using barchart more is that the screener seems to pick up quite a bit that FinViz misses and thats extremely helpful.

Don't use it for anything intraday as the quotes are delayed (unless you sign up for their pay service).

Good Trading Website

Barchart.com is a unique site that brings a good summary of information about any stock to your fingertips. It has things from charts to technical analysis and a few special things like their Trader Cheat Sheets that show key points for the stock and the Barchart Opinion that shows you their recommendation on if you should be buying, selling or holding that particular stock. It is a good tool to have when researching any stock of interest.

Great futures charts

Barchart is the site I use for my futures chart. It has one of the best of those which are free on the web. Highly recommend if you need to know last quote or a quick delayed chart of futures.

Great intraday charts of futures and stocks

It is difficult to find a site that will give you intraday charts for futures and stocks both.

Barchart does.

I have never subscribed to Barchart so can't judge it. But their free content is fantastic.

You can register at the site and customize your chart template.

Barchart also offers very good market breadth so you can get all the information in one nice summary page.

Spot industry trends here

The charts here really help one find the trends in various industries. This is very important to traders who must understand the sectors of the stocks they trade or invest in. I like to follow the “Sectors Change” chart which tracks performance amongst the top sectors. There is also an “Education” section which discusses sectors/signals/stocks and much more – be sure to check this out.

Nice tools

The neat feature about the site, other than the clean charts is the cheat sheet. Type in the symbol, and you'll get a sheet with all the prices in terms of pivot points, moving average crossings, resistance levels etc...

Really neat feature that I haven't found anywhere else for free.

Barchart.com

Ok site for some information - don't read into the technicals on there though. They have their own forecasting tool that IMO - is about a day behind in reading buy/sell signals. Put a ticker in there that is topping out and is a perfect short, and it'll still say buy.
