Weak Analysis--Disjointed investment approach

Had this subscription for a bit less than 6 months and did not act on one recommendation--I am glad I took this route. The newsletter is monthly with intra-month updates based on opportunities and\or updates. The writing feels like that of a an MBA student submitting an assignment. The approach used (I am being gratious in using the term approach in that it connotes there is a system) is unclear and appears to be driven by random opportunites that the authors feel exist. Often there is little tangible support for the action being recommended other than gut feel or chance. I would not recommend this newsletter as I think one gets similar recommendations from Barrons, CNBC, etc.

...May I also take a moment to express my admiration for the talents of Justin Perucki and Mike Tian at Morningstar Opportunistic Investor. They are excellent writers and researchers. When they first came on board, I was suspicious that such young guys may not have the fine judgment required for their task. My reservations have been eliminated. Their dedication and extensive communications with their subscribers display awesome skill and wisdom beyond their years. Kudos!
